Current task
I am working as a senior research scientist in the Climate Solutions unit's Air Pollution group. My work mainly includes various research and expert tasks related to agricultural environmental protection. I am specialized in environmental issues of livestock farming.
Background
I have a master's degree in environmental sciences and have worked at the Finnish Environment institute since 1996. Before that, I worked for a few years as a planner at the National Board of Waters and the Environment and also as a private environmental consultant. I am an arborist from my second education and work as an entrepreneur in the tree care industry in addition to my work as a researcher.

- Assessment and modeling of agricultural air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions
- Environmental issues of agriculture and especially livestock farming in general and from a life cycle perspective, BAT issues of livestock farming
- Sustainable use of natural resources, sustainability assessments in general, life cycle assessments
